The students from East London university and assisted by UCT students brought exciting and educative games to 45 learners from Sivuyiseni primary.
On the 16 March Dr Patti Silbert facilitated a half-day Appreciative Inquiry workshop with the Bookery Library Assistants at the Cape Town City Library.

Usasazo Library Opening on 11 March 2016. A learner opens the event which was supported by all teachers and SGB as well as principals and deputies from neighbouring schools, the SII, SDU, the Bookery, Rotary and Fundza.
At the start of the school day Lwando Mboniso (Intshayelelo Library Assistant) accompanied 40 learners to the Masakhane library where the local librarian read the Nal’ibali story to 160 learners from different schools in the area.

38 final year Occupational Therapy students from UCT conducted screening on 127 Grade 1 learners from Intshayelelo Primary School in Khayelitsha on Wednesday, 27 January 2016.
Mr Thami Makayi and his assistant coach has started soccer training at Sivuyiseni Primary. Sixty learners are divided into two teams, under 11 & 12.
On the 4 March all three SII libraries celebrated World Read Aloud Day involving the entire school.
On 5 February 2015 Dr Patti Silbert facilitated a half day Appreciative Inquiry session with all 20 Health Science students who will be undertaking their field practice in the SII partner schools during the course of the year.
