SII Staff

Jonathan Clark

Director of the SII

Jonathan Clark was appointed as the Director of the SII in October 2011.

He is also the Director of the Schools Development Unit (SDU) in UCT’s School of Education.

He joined the university in November 2007.

Prior to this, Jonathan was Principal of the Centre of Science and Technology (COSAT) in Khayelitsha.

Patti Silbert

SII Project Manager

Patti Silbert was appointed SII Project Manager in January 2013.

She also oversees the monitoring processes of projects within the Schools Development Unit.

Prior to joining the SDU in March 2012, Patti completed her PhD in Education, and before this, managed Whole School Development projects in a number of primary and secondary schools in the Western Cape.

Ferial Parker

100UP Project Manager

As the 100UP Project Manager, Ferial is responsible for the day-to-day running of the programme.

She also liaises with the various university departments and student organisations who participate in 100UP.

She has worked as a Life Skills Education Specialist in the Schools Development Unit for the past ten years.

Before this, she served as a secondary school guidance counsellor and a languages teacher for 18 years.

Gilbert Dolo

100UP Project Coordinator

Gilbert Dolo joined the university in March 2007.

He is responsible for the direct coordination of the 100UP grade 10 learners and as an assistant of the Project Manager in the running of the programs that includes the grade 11 &12.

Tembeka Mzozoyana is a social worker appointed to coordinate the COSAT Wellness Centre and to offer social work services to the COSAT learners. Tembeka also supervises the third and fourth year Social Work students undertaking their site-based practice learning at COSAT.

Morgan Voges is an Occupational Therapist, appointed as the SII Health and Community Development Coordinator. Morgan coordinates the programmes and activities of the students from the Faculty of Health Sciences undertaking their practice learning in the SII partner schools. She also offers occupational therapy services to learners at Intshayelelo Primary.
